Teaching faculty will also be entitled to transport allowance with DA on transport allowance as per rules. No other allowances will be paid. For non-medical teaching faculty, the consolidated remuneration will be arrived at after reducing the element of NPA. If candidates of the appropriate category are not available, candidates from another category can be considered for appointment on contractual basis for a period of less than 45 days against reserved posts for SC, ST and OBC, as per order No. 36036/3/2018 Estt. (Res.) dated 15.05.2018.
Eligibility and experience
The academic qualification for the general Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor posts is MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject. The main experience routes printed in the notice are below.

The fee is paid by a Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- in favour of “ESI Fund Account No. I”, payable at Kolkata. Separate Demand Drafts are to be paid if a candidate applies for more than one post. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Selection process
The selection will be made on the basis of performance of the candidate in interview before the Selection Board. The result will be published on the website www.esic.gov.in.

Candidates attend the walk-in interview on the date given for their department, with the filled application form printed on A4 paper, the original documents and the Demand Draft where a fee applies. Report between 09:30 AM and 10:30 AM for document verification at the Academic Block, 2nd Floor, ESI-PGIMSR & ESIC Medical College, Joka.

Contract terms
- The contract is for 01 (One) year or until attaining 70 years of age or joining of regular faculty, whichever is earlier.
- The contract will be renewed for further 02 Years on a yearly basis, based on institutional requirement and performance.
- Either side can end the engagement by giving one month prior notice. In case of spot resignation, one month’s Gross salary is to be deposited to ESIC Account through Challan.
- Selection to this post does not confer the right of confirmation or continuation.
- No Private practice is allowed during the tenure of service in ESIC.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for joining the institution or medical test and for submission of other documents.
