Editorial and Fact-Check Policy
This page explains how a job notice becomes a post on IndiaFreeJobAlert.com, and what we do to keep every detail accurate. It covers every kind of post we publish: jobs, admit cards, results, answer keys, exam dates and syllabus. Posts that have passed every check below show a green "Verified against the official notice" box at the top. Older posts, made before these checks were in place, show their source and last update date instead.
We use official sources only
Every post starts from the official notice published by the recruiting body itself. We take it only from official domains, such as the website of the commission, board, department or organisation that issued it.
We never copy from other job websites. A page from another job portal is not accepted as a source, and a post that depends on one is blocked.
We download and read the notice itself
Before anything is written, the official notice PDF is downloaded and matched to the recruitment it belongs to. A link that does not open, or a "PDF" that turns out to be an ordinary web page, does not count as a source.
Every value in a post, such as dates, vacancies, age limits, fees and pay, is read from that notice and recorded with the exact line it came from. Each value is then checked again against a separate reading of the same notice.
Scanned and non-English notices get extra checks
Some notices are scanned images or are not in English, so the text cannot be read directly from the file. For these, what is printed on the pages is typed out twice by two independent transcribers, and neither sees the other's version. Every number and date on every page must match in both versions before the text is used.
After that, the notice gets a second, independent reading. If the two readings disagree on any number or date, that figure is dropped from the post.
We do not guess
If the notice does not state something, we leave it out. We do not fill gaps with estimates, figures from earlier years or details from other websites.
Every sentence is fact-checked before publishing
Once the article is written, each sentence is checked against the verified facts from the notice. If even one sentence is not supported by those facts, the post cannot be published until it is fixed.
The finished post also has to pass a final set of checks before it goes live, and it is locked at that point. A post that is changed after passing has to be checked again.
Every post links the official notice
Each post links to the official notice and to the official website of the recruiting body, so you can confirm the details yourself. Please always read the official notice before you apply or pay any fee.
What happens after the last date
When applications close, the post stays online with a clear notice at the top saying that applications have closed. We also point you to openings that are still accepting applications.
