Eligibility

Junior Technical Officer (Sugar Technology)

Degree in Science or Engineering with Associateship in Sugar Technology, or Post-graduate Diploma in Sugar Technology, from a recognised University or Institute. Along with this, three years’ experience in teaching, research or advisory work in Sugar Technology, or three years’ practical experience in a sugar factory in a managerial capacity. Age limit is 38 years for OBC, further relaxable up to 10 years for PwBD candidates.

Assistant Legislative Counsel

Degree in Law from a recognised University, with at least seven years as a member of a State Judicial Service, or seven years in a superior legal post in a State, or seven years’ legal affairs experience as a Central Government servant, or a Master’s Degree in Law with five years’ teaching or research experience in Law, or a qualified legal practitioner of not less than 30 years of age. Age limit is 40 years for UR/EWS, 43 years for OBC and 45 years for SC, further relaxable up to 10 years for PwBD candidates.

Law Officer

Degree in Law from a recognised Institute or University, with two years’ experience in legal work as a legal practitioner, or two years’ experience in legal work in a Government office. Age limit is 30 years for UR and 33 years for OBC, further relaxable up to 10 years for PwBD candidates.

Specialist Grade II (Junior Scale) – Cardiology

A recognised medical qualification under the Indian Medical Council Act 1956, with a post-graduate degree in the concerned speciality, that is D.M. (Cardiology), and three years’ experience in the speciality after obtaining the postgraduate degree. Age limit is 48 years for OBC, further relaxable up to 10 years for PwBD candidates.

Selection process

Selection is by interview. Where the number of applications is large, the Commission may shortlist candidates using desirable qualifications, higher educational qualifications, higher experience, or a Recruitment Test, before calling them for interview. The minimum level of suitability at interview, out of the total interview marks of 100, is 50 marks for UR, 45 marks for OBC and 40 marks for SC/ST/PH. Where a Recruitment Test is held, candidates must clear the qualifying level at both the Recruitment Test and the interview.

How to apply

Candidates must apply online through upsconline.nic.in. The portal has four modules: Account creation, Universal Registration (which generates a Universal Registration Number or URN), the Common Application Form (CAF), and a post/vacancy-specific fourth module that is filled during the application window of this advertisement. A live photograph must be captured while filling the CAF, in addition to the uploaded photograph. Candidates must sign three times on plain white paper and upload the signature. Applications cannot be withdrawn, and no field can be corrected after submission.

Application fee

The fee is Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five), payable through Visa, Master or Rupay Credit/Debit Card, UPI, or internet banking. There is no fee for SC, ST, PwBD or women candidates of any community. OBC, EWS and unreserved male candidates must pay the full prescribed fee. Fee once paid is not refunded under any circumstance.
