KEA FDA SDA Recruitment 2026: 2163, 563, 2070 and 635 Posts in Four Notices

Karnataka Examinations Authority has issued four Group-C notices: ED/KEA/14 with 2163 posts, ED/KEA/15 with 563, ED/KEA/16 with 2070 and ED/KEA/17 with 635. Pay is Rs 34,100 to Rs 1,12,900 by post. Selection is a competitive examination, a Kannada language test, online counselling and a provisional list. Apply online by 25 November 2026.

The authority split this recruitment by qualification and region. ED/KEA/14 and ED/KEA/15 are for degree-level posts, ED/KEA/16 and ED/KEA/17 for Second PUC level posts, and the two marked KK cover the Kalyana-Karnataka region. Each notice prints its own table of posts and its own total, so the figures below are kept notice by notice. For ED/KEA/14 the notice lists Paper-1 in the morning from 10.30 to 12.30 PM and Paper-2 in the afternoon from 2.30 to 4.30 PM, and gives 10 January 2027 for Paper-2. For the other three notices it lists the morning session as 10.30 to 12.30. The examination centre will not be allowed to be changed for any reason, and the details of the centres will be informed later.

Eligibility

Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.

The notice also says:

• Candidates must hold the educational qualification / certificate prescribed for the respective posts as of the last date fixed for submitting application.
• Candidates who have written the examination to obtain the prescribed qualification and are waiting for results are not eligible to apply.
• A male candidate having more than one living wife, and a female candidate who has married a person already having another wife, are not eligible for appointment without obtaining prior permission from the Government.
• The candidate must be mentally and physically healthy and must be free from any physical deficiency likely to hinder the efficient performance of the duties of his/her appointment.
• Persons debarred permanently by the Union or Karnataka State or other States' Public Service Commission or Karnataka Examinations Authority or any recruitment examinations are not eligible for appointment.

Age limit

The minimum age is 18 years. The maximum is 40 years for general merit candidates, 43 years for Category 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B, and 45 years for SC, ST and Category-1. The same age table is printed in all four notices.

The notice adds a one-time relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit. Serving or former State or local body employees get the number of years served or 10 years, whichever is less. Census organisation staff get the number of years served or 5 years, whichever is less.

Application fee

The fee must be paid online only and is not refunded. The same three amounts are printed in ED/KEA/15, ED/KEA/16 and ED/KEA/17.

Selection process, exam pattern and syllabus

1. Competitive examination: conducted in Offline-OMR type.
2. Kannada language test: a multiple choice paper of 150 marks in which a candidate must score a minimum of 50 marks. Candidates who passed the compulsory Kannada test conducted earlier by the Commission or another recruitment authority are exempted.
3. Online counselling: candidates are selected to a post according to the option they submit online.
4. Provisional selection list: announced in the ratio of 1:1 for the notified vacant posts.

Question papers and subjects

For each wrong answer, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks allotted to that question is deducted. If no option is shaded, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks for the question is deducted. A candidate must score a minimum of 35 percent marks in the competitive examination to qualify. The marks in the Kannada test are not considered for seniority or selection to posts. If two candidates have equal marks, the candidate older in age is placed higher.

Training and service conditions

• Candidates selected through direct recruitment will be on a probation period of two years.

Reservation

• 5 percent horizontal reservation has been provided in State Civil Services Group-C posts for differently abled candidates.
• 1 (one) percent of posts from each category of General category, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes have been reserved for transgender candidates for transgender candidates.
• 2 (two) percent of posts from each category of General category, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes in posts of the State Civil Services have been reserved for sports achiever candidates for sports achievers.

• Candidates must hold the prescribed educational qualification or certificate on the last date fixed for applying. Candidates who have written the qualifying examination and are waiting for results are not eligible.
