Eligibility
The qualification is set by the National Medical Commission (NMC/MCI) minimum standard requirements. Every candidate must hold an updated medical registration with NMC or a State Medical Council.
- Age and other eligibility are counted on 31 October 2026.
- No private practice is allowed in any capacity after joining.
- The notice says ESIC MCH Bhubaneswar will not take candidates on deputation.
- Retired or working Professors may also apply for the eligible posts.
- Candidates working in a Government, autonomous or statutory institution must carry a No Objection Certificate from their employer to the interview.
Age limit
The upper age limit is 67 years for faculty posts. For Senior Resident it is 45 years for clinical and 50 years for non clinical and para clinical posts. All limits are counted on 31 October 2026, with age relaxation as per the prevailing norms of the Government of India.

The fee is paid by Demand Draft in favour of "ESI Fund A/c No. 1" payable at Bhubaneswar. Fees once paid are not refunded under any circumstances.
How to apply
- Fill the Google Form given in the notice in advance.
- Print the offline application form attached to the advertisement and complete it.
- Collect self-attested copies of your documents.
- Take the Demand Draft if your category pays the fee.
- Report to the Dean's office between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM on your interview date.
You may apply for more than one post if you meet the eligibility for each. The notice asks for a separate application, with the documents and the fee, for every post. Applications in any other format, or incomplete ones, are rejected.

Reservation
Reservations will be as per Government of India guidelines issued from time to time. Reservation for persons with benchmark disability (PwBD) follows the prevailing Government of India guidelines.
Selection process
Documents are checked first by the Document Verification Committee. Only candidates whose documents are verified go before the Interview Board. Selection is then made on academic credentials and performance in the interview, conducted by the selection board.
Results are published only in the Recruitments section of www.esic.gov.in and https://mchbhubaneswar.esic.gov.in. The offer of appointment is sent by email only.
Terms of the contract
- Faculty are engaged for 1 year at first, with further extension of two years on satisfactory annual performance. The maximum tenure is 3 years.
- The faculty contract ends at 70 years of age, or when a regular faculty member joins the post, whichever is earlier.
- The Senior Resident contract ends at 50 years of age, or when a regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier.
- To resign, you must give one month's notice or deposit an amount equal to one month's salary.
- No Provident Fund, pension, gratuity, medical allowance, medical benefits, seniority or promotion can be claimed.
- Hostel or quarters will be provided to the extent possible.
- The notice sets a limit of 7 days of absence without prior approval.
- Faculty record attendance manually and on the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System.
Points to check before applying
- Your age is counted on 31 October 2026, not on the interview day.
- A candidate with no updated medical registration risks not being interviewed, or having the result withheld.
- If you hold a Government post, the NOC is needed just to attend the interview.
- Reporting after 10:00 AM means you are marked absent.
- No travel or daily allowance is paid for attending the interview.
- The vacancies are provisional and the Dean can postpone or cancel the process. Keep checking www.esic.gov.in for any corrigendum.
