Eligibility criteria and qualifications
Candidate should have passed middle standard examination and possess knowledge of Hindi/Punjabi. No person shall be appointed to the service unless he is a citizen of India.

Age limit and relaxation
The candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 37 years of age, as on 01.01.2026. The maximum age relaxation to the candidates belonging to OBC (03 years) and SC (05 years) categories will be given as per instructions of the Chandigarh Administration.

Reservation rules and conditions
Where no candidate of reserved category is available, then appointment shall be made from general category. The services rendered by any candidate on contract basis will not bestow upon him/her any claim for regular appointment.
Selection process
The selection of the candidates will be made purely on interview/Skill Assessment Test. After scrutiny of applications, date of interview/Skill Assessment Test and list of eligible candidates shall be uploaded on the official website https://chandigarh.dcourts.gov.in/.
Interview details and instructions
No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates appearing for the interview/Skill Assessment Test. All the candidates must bring at least one photo ID proof and their original testimonials with them at the time of interview/Skill Assessment Test.

How to apply
The application must be strictly submitted on the prescribed application form meant for each post, which is available on the official website. A separate and distinct application form must be submitted for each individual post a candidate wishes to apply for. Application forms received in soft form/electronically shall not be entertained and will be rejected summarily. Signed application form must reach the office of The District and Sessions Judge, Chandigarh, New District Court Complex, Sector 43, Chandigarh till 05:00 PM of 16.11.2026. Applications without copies of relevant testimonials and that received after 05:00 PM of 16.11.2026 (even by Post or courier etc.) will not be entertained.
