One Registrar's chair at Puducherry Technological University
Puducherry Technological University has invited applications, Advt. No. PTU/REG/RECRUITMENT/2026/1087 dated 21-09-2026, for one Registrar post carrying pay of Rs.1,44,200 (Level 14), General category, unreserved. The appointment is on tenure basis for 3 years, after which the incumbent reverts to their parent organisation.
Who the university will accept: Professor rank or three years as an administrator
The notice sets two conditions together, not either one alone. A candidate needs a Master's Degree with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade, and must already hold the rank of Professor (AGP Rs.10000/-) or be an Administrator in the rank of Professor with at least three years of administrative experience. Anyone applying by deputation from a Central or State government body, a university, or a PSU must hold an analogous post in the same scale with this same qualification.

Posting the form to the Vice Chancellor, not the Registrar

A soft copy also has to be emailed to vcoffice@ptuniv.edu.in. The notice warns that incomplete applications, and any that arrive after the due date, will not be considered under any circumstances.
Two different last dates, ten days apart
The online application closes on 31/10/2026 at 5.00 PM IST. The hard copy with enclosures has a separate, later deadline: 07/11/2026, also by 5.00 PM IST. A candidate who submits online on the last day still has until 7 November to get the physical set to Puducherry.
