A total of 4 contractual positions are available across two distinct designations. Applicants must satisfy the qualification benchmarks and age restrictions as on the application deadline:

Educational Qualifications

• Project Research Scientist-I (Project Manager):
  • Essential Qualification: First Class Post Graduate Degree, including integrated PG degrees in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Research, Biochemistry, Public Health, or related disciplines; OR Second Class Post Graduate Degree in the aforementioned fields with a PhD.
  • Desirable Qualification: PhD or PG degree with two years post-PG research experience. Demonstrated experience in Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) and multicentre study coordination. Proficiency in scientific writing and statistical software packages (SPSS, R, Stata, or equivalent). Hands-on experience with REDCap software and clinical data management. Working knowledge of Kannada is desirable.
• Project Technical Support-III:
  • Essential Qualification: Three-year Graduate degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Research, Biochemistry, Public Health, or related disciplines plus three years post-qualification work experience; OR Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Research, Biochemistry, Public Health, or related disciplines.
  • Desirable Qualification: Prior research experience, preferably in RCTs. Proficiency in venipuncture. Laboratory skills including handling and processing of biological samples, centrifugation, ELISA, and biomarker assays. Scientific writing skills. Fluency in spoken Kannada is essential. Familiarity with REDCap software is desirable.

Age Limit and Relaxations

• Upper Age Limit: Candidates must not exceed 35 years of age as on the closing date of application (12 October 2026).
• Age Relaxation: Relaxations for SC, ST, OBC, PwD, and female candidates are applicable in accordance with ICMR and MAHE project recruitment rules.

Salary Details and Application Fee

Selected candidates will receive consolidated monthly emoluments under the ICMR research grant:

Tenure of Appointment: The appointment is purely on a contractual basis initially for a duration of one year, extendable up to an additional two years subject to performance assessment and project requirements.

Travel Allowance: No TA or DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.
