Educational Qualification (as per UGC / AICTE Norms)

Educational qualifications are determined in accordance with UGC Regulations 2018, AICTE Regulations 2019, and Uttar Pradesh State Government rules:

• Professor:
  • An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned, allied, or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
  • A total research score of at least 120 as per Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulations 2018.
  • Minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in university or college as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, or equivalent research experience in an academic or research organization.
  • For Technical / Engineering disciplines: Ph.D. in relevant discipline with First Class in Bachelor or Master degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering, and a minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 6 research publications at the level of Associate Professor.
• Associate Professor:
  • Ph.D. degree in the concerned, allied, or relevant discipline.
  • Master degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching and/or research in an academic or research position equivalent to Assistant Professor.
  • Minimum of 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals with a total research score of at least 75.
  • For Technical / Engineering disciplines: Ph.D. in relevant discipline with First Class in Bachelor or Master degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering, and a minimum of 8 years of experience with at least 6 research publications.
• Assistant Professor:
  • Master degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale) in a concerned, relevant, or allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
  • Cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or an accredited equivalent test (SLET/SET). Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009/2016 are exempted from the NET/SLET/SET requirement.
  • For Technical / Engineering disciplines: B.E. / B.Tech. / B.S. and M.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.

Age Limit & Relaxations

• Minimum Age: 21 Years as on the application cutoff date.
• Upper Age Limit: As per Uttar Pradesh State Government and CSJMU service statutes. No maximum age limit applies for faculty positions with requisite academic credentials, subject to state superannuation limits.
• Statutory Age Relaxations (Applicable to UP Domicile Candidates):
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST): 5 Years relaxation.
  • Other Backward Classes - Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL): 5 Years relaxation.
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Up to 15 Years relaxation as per UP government guidelines.
  • Candidates residing outside Uttar Pradesh are considered under the Unreserved (General) category and are not eligible for reserved category age concessions.

CSJMU Teaching Salary, Pay Scale & Application Fee

Pay Scale & Emoluments (7th CPC Academic Pay Matrix)

Selected faculty members will receive remuneration according to the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) Pay Matrix as adopted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh:

Additional allowances including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and university welfare benefits are paid as per Uttar Pradesh State University rules.
