Eligibility
Junior Research Fellow
Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science, or a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in a professional course (master's degree in Genetics, Plant Breeding, Genetics and Plant Breeding, or Agricultural Biotechnology), obtained through selection in CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship/Assistant Professorship) and GATE, or through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government departments and agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER or NISER. Desirable: experience in crop genetics and breeding, field and laboratory experimentation, data analysis, documentation and report compilation, with preference for research experience in wheat diseases, molecular biology, gene mapping and statistical analysis.
Maximum age for this post is 35 years, with relaxation of five years for SC/ST and women candidates and three years for OBC candidates. The minimum age should be 18 years as on the date of interview.
Field Worker
Essential: Graduate Degree in any discipline. Desirable: experience in field and lab work related to agriculture. No age limit is specified for this post in the notice.
Selection process
Applications are screened first, and only candidates meeting the essential qualifications are called for interview. Eligible candidates will be informed of the date and time of an online/offline interview by email. No TA/DA or other expenses will be paid for attending the interview.
