CARI New Delhi Recruitment 2026: Walk-in for 2 Consultant (Ayurveda) Posts on 15 October

The Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi, which works under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH, will engage 2 Consultants (Ayurveda) on contract. The pay is Rs 50,000 a month, consolidated. There is no online form: candidates appear for a written test or interview at the institute on Thursday, 15 October 2026, at 10:30 AM.

You need one of these:

• A postgraduate degree in Ayurveda, MD (Ayurveda) or MS (Ayurveda), from a recognised university; or
• BAMS from a recognised university with at least 5 years of experience after the degree, preferably in a government organisation.

Knowledge of computer applications such as MS Office is desirable, not compulsory. A BAMS graduate without the 5 years of experience does not qualify, while an MD or MS holder needs no experience.

Age limit

You must not be over 64 years old on the day of the interview, 15 October 2026. The notice gives no lower limit and no category-wise relaxation. The high upper limit means retired government Ayurveda doctors can apply.

Vacancies, pay and contract terms

• 2 posts of Consultant (Ayurveda), open to men and women.
• Rs 50,000 a month, consolidated, with no separate allowances mentioned.
• The engagement is purely on contract, at first for six months. The Competent Authority can end it early or extend it, depending on need and your performance.
• There is no claim to continuation or to a regular appointment.
