Haryana Police has issued a notice for engagement of 170 Special Police Officers (SPOs) in the Telecommunication Wing under Section 21 of the Haryana Police Act, 2007. The engagement shall be for a period of one year on a monthly honorarium of Rs 20,000/- only. Eligible candidates aged 25 to 50 years with 10+2 qualification and 5 years minimum service can attend the walk-in on 05-11-2026.
The engagement is open to ex-servicemen of the Armed Forces/Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and ex-Constables of the disbanded HSISF/HAP Battalions. Selection process and interview
- Submission of document/interview: No written or physical test is conducted for engagement of Special Police Officers.
- Medical examination and verification: The SPOs shall be medically examined before giving appointment letter and the character and antecedents of selected candidates shall be got verified from the concerned district police authority by the Police Telecommunication Wing, Haryana before issuing appointment letters.
The documents pertaining to qualification, age, caste/category and other certificates as claimed in the application form shall be got verified from concerned issuing authorities.

- Interested and eligible candidates are directed to be appear in person at respective District Police Control Room on 05-11-2026 along with duly filled application form, all relevant documents in original, one set of attested photocopies of the relevant documents, Required affidavit(s) and other prescribed documents.
- Candidates must appear in person on the date prescribed for their respective district and bring all required original documents along with the prescribed set of attested photocopies, 04 passport size coloured photographs.
- No TA/DA will be given to the candidates appearing for submission of document/interview.

Training and service conditions
- Training: These SPOs shall after their selection undergo a 15 days capsule Course to reorient themselves to the needs of Police Department.
- Period of employment: Such eligible volunteers shall be employed for a period of one year or upto the date of appointment of persons on regular basis, whichever is earlier.
- Honorarium: They shall be paid monthly honorarium of Rs 20,000/- only.
- Bank deposit: This amount shall be deposited in the bank account of SPOs and not disbursed in cash.
Points to check before applying
- Uniform Allowance: A onetime uniform allowance of Rs 3000/- for two sets of uniform, one pair of shoes and other necessary uniform articles like insignia of SPO and cap/lanyard shall be given to SPOs at the time of their engagement.
- Tour Allowance: When on official tour, SPOs shall be eligible for TA and DA @ Rs 150/- per day.
- Leave: Casual Leave shall be granted to them as applicable to Constables of the Haryana Police.
- Ex-gratia Compensation: In the event of death Rs 10 Lakhs, permanent disability from Rs 1 Lakhs to Rs 3 Lakhs, and grave injury upto Rs 1 Lakhs.
- Natural death compensation: In case of natural death the Ex-gratia amount of Rs 3.00 Lakh shall be admissible to the family of deceased employees (SPOs) instead of Rs 10.00 Lakh.
- Deployment Policy: SPOs will not be posted at their home police stations, however preference will be given to the home district at the time of deployment subject to the availability of the posts.
- Emergency Duty: These SPOs can be deployed anywhere in the State of Haryana during emergent situations for short duration.
- Termination of Service: The services of volunteer SPOs shall be liable to be terminated on ground of indiscipline, misconduct, unsatisfactory performance of duty or non-requirement before the period of one year at any time by an order passed by the Superintendent of Police, Telecommunication without issuing any notice what so ever.
- Final order: The order/decision of SP Telecommunication, Haryana shall be final.
- No appeal: No appeal shall lie before any superior officer.
