The Reserve Bank of India Services Board has published the Phase-II results for Officers in Grade 'B' (DR), Panel Year 2026, under Advt. No. RBISB/DA/01/2026-27 dated April 29, 2026. The Phase-II call letter stage is over: the General Cadre exam was held on July 25, 2026 and the DEPR and DSIM exams on July 26, 2026. RBI has now listed the roll numbers shortlisted for interview in all three cadres: 127 in General, 30 in DEPR and 35 in DSIM.
RBI Grade B Phase-II result 2026: shortlisted candidates by cadre (not posts)
| Cadre | Phase-II exam | Roll numbers shortlisted for interview | BIODATA and documents due by |
|---|---|---|---|
| General Cadre | July 25, 2026 | 127 | September 02, 2026 |

| DSIM (Department of Statistics and Information Management) | July 26, 2026 (Phase-I also on 14th June 2026) | 35 | September 10, 2026 |
The shortlist counts are our own count of the roll numbers printed in each list. RBI does not print a total in the lists. The lists give only roll numbers, with no names, categories or marks.
How to check your roll number
- Open the RBI website and find the notice titled "Direct Recruitment for the Posts of Officers in Grade 'B' (DR)" for your cadre, marked "Result of Phase-II Examination".
- Click "Roll Numbers of the Candidates who have been Shortlisted for Interview" for that cadre. A one page PDF opens.
- Search the PDF for your 10 digit roll number, which is printed on your Phase-II admit card.
- If your number is there, read the instructions in the same notice. They tell you what to send to the Services Board and what to carry to the interview.
A roll number on the General list cannot be checked against the DEPR or DSIM lists, because each cadre had its own exam and its own list.
Interview call letter and personality assessment
RBI says the Interview Call Letter, showing the date, time and venue, will be sent in due course to the registered email address of each shortlisted candidate from [email protected]. Check spam and junk folders too.
A separate link for a Personality Assessment will also come by email, with instructions. It must be completed within five (05) days of getting that email. Missing this window is the easiest way to slip at this stage, so watch for the mail.
On interview day, print the call letter, paste a recent photograph on it and bring it with the original documents that prove your eligibility. Bring a photo identity proof as well, and one set of self-attested copies of every document. The notice says requests to change the interview date, time or venue will not be entertained.
Documents and BIODATA to email after the result (application details)
Every shortlisted candidate must email a filled BIODATA and scanned certificates to the RBI Services Board at [email protected]. Deadlines differ by cadre: September 02, 2026 for General, September 04, 2026 for DEPR and September 10, 2026 for DSIM. All later queries on these documents also go only to that address.
The notice sets these rules for the email:
- Send it from the email ID registered in your online application only.
- All documents must be PDFs, self-certified and on A4 pages.
- The size of the documents or the email must not exceed 10 MB.
- Make exactly two PDF files: one with the BIODATA alone, and one with all other documents in the order listed below.
- Mention your registration number, name and the post applied for. The subject line format is: Registration Number, Name of the Candidate, Recruitment of Officers in Grade 'B' (DR), the cadre, PY 2026.
Documents list in the order RBI wants them, including eligibility proof
- BIODATA, filled in and scanned, in its own PDF.
- Proof of date of birth: Matriculation Passing Certificate or Secondary School Leaving Certificate only. No other document is accepted for date of birth. The name on it is matched with your application and other papers. If your name changed after matriculation, bring an original affidavit to the interview stating both names belong to you.
- Educational qualification: mark sheets of matriculation, HSC, graduation and post-graduation (all semesters or years) and the degree or diploma certificate. If your mark sheets show CGPA, OGPA or CPI instead of percentage, submit the conversion formula of your university. It must be printed on the grade card or certified by the competent authority. Without it, RBI applies the conversion rule in Note-II of Paragraph 5 of the detailed notice.
- OBC candidates: OBC caste (non-creamy layer) certificate as per the advertisement and the OBC declaration in original in the prescribed format.
- SC/ST candidates: latest SC/ST caste certificate in the prescribed format.
- EWS candidates: Income and Asset Certificate in the format of DoPT OM No. 36039/1/2019-Estt(Res) dated January 31, 2019, for financial year 2025-26 and valid for 2026-27.
- PwBD candidates: disability certificate in the prescribed format. Those who used a scribe or compensatory time (other than VI, LD with both arms affected and cerebral palsy) also need a medical certificate in the Appendix-VIII proforma, dated before the exam, on their limitation to write including speed.
- Candidates with less than 40% disability and difficulty in writing who used a scribe or extra time: a certificate from a government healthcare institution in the Appendix-X proforma, dated before the exam.
- Staff candidates: a letter from the HRMD Administration Section of their Regional Office, COD or Training Establishment confirming eligibility as staff and stating any pending vigilance or discipline cases.
- Age relaxation: the certificate on which you claimed it.
- Experience certificates where the post needs experience, showing post held, duties, date of joining, probation and date of leaving. Government, PSU and autonomous body employees must add a No Objection Certificate if they did not inform their employer when applying.
- Any certificate for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD or ex-servicemen benefits must be the original dated on or before the cut-off date in the advertisement.
Selection: how candidates were shortlisted for interview
The Phase-II handout states that shortlisting for interview is on the aggregate of Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III. The minimum aggregate cut-off is fixed by the Board in relation to the number of vacancies, which is why the shortlist is small compared with the number who sat the exam. Results are published on www.rbi.org.in and interview call letters go only by email.
Phase-II exam scheme (General Cadre)
| Shift | Paper | Part | Marks | Minutes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Morning | Paper-III: General Finance and Management | Objective, 30 questions | 50 | 30 |
| Morning | Paper-III | Descriptive, attempt 4 of 6 | 50 | 90 |
| Afternoon | Paper-I: Economic and Social Issues | Objective, 30 questions | 50 | 30 |
| Afternoon | Paper-I | Descriptive, attempt 4 of 6 | 50 | 90 |
| Afternoon | Paper-II: English (Writing Skills) | Descriptive, 3 questions | 100 | 90 |
| Grand total | 300 | 330 | ||
In each descriptive part, candidates answer 2 questions of 15 marks and 2 of 10 marks. Word limits were 600 words for a 15 mark answer and 400 words for a 10 mark answer, and only the first 4 answers are evaluated. In the objective parts, a wrong answer costs 1/4 of that question's marks, and paper-wise scores are reported to two decimal places.
Scorecards, cut-offs and RTI: when they will come
Do not expect marks yet. Note-I of each result says individual scorecards and category-wise cut-off marks for Phase-II will be published on www.rbi.org.in only after the selection process ends and the final results are declared.
Note-II adds that RTI requests on the number of candidates who appeared or were shortlisted, by category or in total, and requests for Phase-II answer keys or dump keys for Paper-I and Paper-III, will be taken up only after the final result.
Reservation papers: common slips to avoid
- The OBC certificate must be the non-creamy layer version in the format given in the advertisement, together with the separate OBC declaration.
- EWS benefit needs the Income and Asset Certificate for financial year 2025-26; an older one will not do.
- For PwBD candidates who used a scribe, two documents are needed: the disability certificate and the Appendix-VIII medical certificate.
- Reservation or relaxation certificates dated after the advertisement's cut-off date are not accepted.
