The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB / RSMSSB), State Institute of Agriculture Management premises, Durgapura, Jaipur, has published the official shift-wise examination notification for the Teaching Associate Recruitment Examination 2026 across Mahatma Gandhi English Medium Schools (MGEMS) in Rajasthan. According to the board press release released at rssb.rajasthan.gov.in, the competitive examination will take place on 12 October 2026 in two separate objective shifts across Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur, and divisional district centres. E-Admit cards with biometric QR codes will be released for download through SSO Rajasthan from 05 October 2026.

Selection Process and Examination Scheme

The written examination is administered in OMR offline format with the mandatory 5th option rule:

• Test Structure: 100 multiple choice questions carrying 100 marks with a duration of 2 hours. The paper tests English Language Proficiency (30 Marks), Child Pedagogy (20 Marks), Subject Domain Knowledge (30 Marks), and Rajasthan General Knowledge & Culture (20 Marks).
• Negative Marking & 5th Option Rule: A negative marking deduction of 1/3rd (0.33 mark) applies for each incorrect answer. Candidates leaving a question unattempted must darken the 5th circle ('E'). Failure to darken any of the 5 circles for more than 10 percent of questions results in immediate disqualification.
• Merit Ranking: Selection list is finalized based on OMR marks followed by state document verification.

Previous Year Cutoff Marks and Category Standards

In the previous MGEMS Teaching Associate screening, qualifying cutoffs for Level 1 closed at 58.60% for General and 55.20% for OBC. For Level 2 English, the cutoff closed around 64.50% marks due to high competition among B.Ed degree holders with English methodology.
